Rule 204: How is a Man Counted Worthy to Receive the Holy Spirit? (R. 124)
Our Lord Jesus Christ taught us this when He said: “If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive.”1 So long then as we do not keep all the commandments of the Lord and are not such as to be testified of by Him that “ye are not of this world,”2 let us not expect to be counted worthy of the Holy Spirit.3
