Book 7, 43. Of Desiderius and Waddo
Desiderius sought safety for himself and his possessions within fortified places of his own. Waddo,1 former mayor of the household to Rigunth, went over to Queen Brunhild, who received him well, and dismissed him with favour and with gifts. Chariulf betook himself to the church of the holy Martin.
